What is the best way to create a Stumbleupon button using MVC Framework

I'm trying to clone Stumbleupon. At the time I only have a Backend up and running but without an API. Right now I'm learning Frontend Frameworks/libraries and even if I've seen Stumbleupon was built with Backbone I still want to ask if there is a better way to build something like this using all the improvements of MVC frameworks since Stumbleupon was builted (because I guess it's very hard to get done something like that.)

The idea is to chose a Framework and create a Stumbleupon button, if it's possible. Is there an easy but professional way to do this?
