I've worked primarily on server side development or desktop software, most web work i've done has been via asp.net/mvc with plenty of sprinkled JS and jquery.
Trying out and working on client side frameworks (ember.js at the moment) or just browser apps in general, I don't have a lot of confidence if an approach or piece of code is actually good or not.
Practices, maintenance/organization wise it's not bad as most things follow popular engineering principles (DRY, DI, testability etc), but from the performance side i'm a little clueless as to what is actually slow/fast, good/bad in a browser app. I'm fairly familiar with chrome dev tools and simple benchmarking, what i'm looking for is some guidelines / resources / references on how to determine if something is actually efficient and good to use... so i know where i need to go out and learn more, before i go learn the hard way of course :)
