Ember: Facebook login in a reusable handmade way

I want to realize an ember app which supports a login function via Facebook. Since Facebook needs some initial JS-Source code I thought it would be the best do put that into an ember-initializer.

For including the login form (the login button from facebook), I decided to create an component.

Im now wondering if that is an good approach since im targeting to create a completly reuseable "module"/component for other projects. I know there are a lot of well working addons/plugins/extentions for ember out there, but I was tarketing a selfmade solution so I can learn the basic principles of the functionalities related to user authentifications and so on.
