How to distinguish between manual and automatic session invalidation

In my app, I want to send a log request to the api after every session invalidation. I want to be able to differentiate when a user logs out (clicks on the button), and when he is automatically logged out (for example after cookie expiration). As far as I know, the sessionInvalidated event does not make the difference, and I could'nt find a way to do that.
