Is it okay to use Oauth Consumer key in front end JS app?

I am making a SPA with emberjs and want to query the Tumblr API for posts. According to the docs they use Oauth 1.0 for authentication and I should only have to send the consumer key to retrieve the JSON I'm looking for. Since this is a front end only app the consumer key will be exposed to anyone looking for it. I am wondering if this would be considered okay since I'm not giving up my secret key.
