Using ember with firebase for authentication for my backend?

I would like to know if anyone uses ember authentication with FB and use the backend only for deal with data.

I am with this dilemma. I have a backend ready to authenticate, but I thought it would be interesting to keep the backend as an API that handles the data and use the firebase to authenticate users.
