Use Ember to generate and position elements inside a html page based on JSON data input

I'm very new to ember. What i have been told is that I would have Data in JSON format... I'll have to generate a html page using the data which is in JSON data Format and I have to position the data in the html page, based on the kind of data received. HOW DO I ACHIEVE THIS?

The JSON data would actually come from a servlet(never mind)... But I also want to know how to create my own JSON object and test it in my ember application to see whether the html is generated or not?

As i said, i'm really new to ember.. Please Try and explain as clearly as possible :)
