Where do I describe the tour and then initiate it for Ember-Shepherd?

The ember-shepherd documentation describes very well the syntax and options for describing the tour, describing the steps, and defining the initiation conditions, but I can't figure out which file to put these details in. I am getting errors when I use "this.tour" and I'm not seeing the tour start.
