Can I able to make to an ajax call to j_security_check from my ember client?

So I have provided tomcat authentication with jsp in my tomcat webapp, Now I need to change the client side with ember. Now I need to have the same tomcat authentication flow. Can I able to make it happen with ember client as in jsp?
