Wait for a ComputedProperty to resolve

is there a way to wait for a computed property to resolve and retrieve its real value?

I am working with a non-Ember 3rd party library that needs JSON as a parameter. I obtain this parameter from the server, but ember-data provides me with a ComputedProperty... but I need an underlying JSON.
