ember's JSPINAPIAdapter allows `include`. Is there anything similar for emberfire / firebase?

Ember’s default JSONAPIAdapter allows for a route to preload hasMany relations with the include parameter.

Is there anything similar for firebase / emberfire? Or how would I preload records of a hasMany relationship in emberfire / firebase context?
