sending the verify email to main page and showing a div for some time

I am sending an email to the user to verify their email id.Now When they click verify email in their, it is redirect it to blank page stating that their email has been verified.But I want that it should redirect it to my app page ( https:// example.com) and a small strip at top states that your email has been verified and it should disappear after sometime.This should only happen when user clicks on verify email.Not when User open (example.com).How should I do this.I have no idea where to start or look.I can make change in backend if needed(edited).I am using ember as my frontend framework
