How to re-authorize the session for ember-simple-auth-devise when user's email changes

I'm using ember-simple-auth-devise.

When a user logs in, the user's email and token are added to the headers of every request.

When the user changes his email address, I can update the session's email but this does not propagate to the header as well.

What is the best way to trigger an update to the session email and the header email?
