How can i call a jsp page in tomcat server in ajax call from ember app

Am New to ember.Am given a task to do the below. I have a form in ember and after i click the submit button, the controller has ajax call to a page in tomcat server.i have given url with the tomcat port with webapp name and page. In what way i can do this?. Should i make change to the environment.js file?please help me in implementing the above.
