How can I change the color of ember select prompt?

I'ḿ using ember and I am styling it with bootstrap. The placeholders of the inputs have a gray color. But the placeholder of the select control which is define by the property prompt is in black font in my form.

I want only the placeholder to be colored in gray. Not the options.
