Ember Pods file stucture: Is it safe to delete controller, template, route directories after switching to pods stucture

I recently switched my file structure to be centered around my resources in the POD structure. Now my existing app/controllers, app/templates, and app/routes folders are empty or redundant. Can I safely delete them?
